Tall Timbers Research Station is located in north Florida near the city of Tallahassee.  The station has a deep history of fire ecology research largely due to the efforts of the pioneering researcher Herbert Stoddard.  I’ve had the great pleasure of spending time there for my research on the effects of prolonged prescribed fire management regimes on soil carbon respiration rates.
